 Breaking the Fast With Breakfast

Breakfast is the most unpopular meal on the planet and even those who partake in the early bird meal sometimes grab the worm rather than the apple.

In my experience, most overweight individuals don't like breakfast.  In fact, I used to detest breakfast. I was a 'Give me a Diet Coke' person. And, 'oh yeah, a donut to go with it, please' once that I fully woke up.

And now - it's my favorite meal of the day!  I wake up early so I can cozy up to my warm cereal before starting my day - or whatever it is that I'm having for breakfast.

Breakfast has helped me maintain my slim shape over the years and helps keeps my blood sugar levels in control.

Reasons why people don't like breakfast:

Once I start eating, I want to eat all day.

Breakfast gives me heartburn.

I don't like the A-Typical breakfast foods.

Here are a few excellent reasons why breakfast can be a dieter's most important meal of the day:

A healthy breakfast can speed up weight loss.

That first bite of food gets the metabolism burning.

Sharper thinkers tend to be breakfast eaters.

Eating breakfast wards off potential binges.

Breakfast foods are hard for some individuals to digest as most are either packed with protein or contain a high acid content.

If you find that you are having difficulty in getting into the Breakfast Swing, these breakfast suggestions might work for you:

1 cup skimmed milk blended with a few frozen (or fresh) strawberries and a dash of no calorie sweetener - or a bit of sugar

Wheat Toast & Fruit

1 teaspoon of peanut butter mixed with a couple of slices of banana then spread on 1 slice of bread
